The nature walk is a new meditation!

Can’t meditate?

Unable to focus?

Or not interested in meditation?

But do you agree that you need some calmness to deal with day to day stress?

Here is something for you!

Get into your comfy clothes, go out for a walk. Not near a busy road, but in nature. At least, in a park, or around a lake, or even in your backyard.

Don’t forget to leave your headphones at home, if possible leave your cellphones at home. Let it rest for some time. 

Listen out to the chirping of birds, watch the flying butterflies, look at the water, green, see how the CO2 that you exhale is inhaled by the plants and how the O2 exhaled by the plants get absorbed by you. Nature and us humans – complement each other. We exist only with the help of each other. And, we have nature in us, nature has humans within. Hence we need to understand that nature and we humans are inseparable.

Let us blend ourselves with the nature at least for some time every day. 

Aviod listening to human made music when you are walking. Allow your breath to connect with the universe. 

You may also try walking quietly, even though your partner walks with you. Be silent for at least 30 minutes and see how meditative it is! You will be amazed to see the benefits of the “Zen walk” that you did!

I recently came across the book called “The Nature Fix” by Florence Williams. It kind of opened my eyes. She just proves how humans are not made to live in the concrete jungles.
